Archie

Hi Harriet,

I just wanted to give you an update on Archie (f/k/a Barney). He's been such a wonderful addition to our family and we are so happy that we stumbled across him that day back in December. When we first got him, he was a bit skittish, flinching at any sudden movement and seemed generally on edge. But now he is a confident and happy dog that is so playful, full of energy and just an absolute joy. He and his brother Seamus are thick as thieves. They play together wonderfully and can often be found sleeping together.

Thank you for everything you do so that you that these wonderful dogs can find families to love them.

Here are some pictures of Archie and Seamus together.

Take care,

Mary and Alan Treacy

Betty (Annabell)

Hi Harriett!

Hope you are well!  Just wanted to check in and let you know all is going great!

We took her to Highland Pet last weekend and gave her a bath. She did great!  She didn't freak out like our other dog did...that was a nice change!  We've also been to the dog parks....she mostly stays by my side but is slowly exploring stuff on her own.

She is really starting to make herself at home and is showing that she is a little clown!  She has developed a fondness for our socks. I have found several in her bed hidden under her blanket and if I leave them out, it doesn't take her long at all to find them!  She loves squeaky toys and runs in and out the back door with them in her mouth.  She is really funny when she is awake...she likes to take lots of naps! (Pictures attached!)

After much discussion, we did decide to change Annabell's name.  We had about 50 names that we tried out and the only one that she sort of responded to was "Betty".  Betty the Boxer has a nice ring to it and it really does fit her!

Betty is just the sweetest dog and a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to give her a forever home!

Rose

Hi there! This is Julia Burke and I adopted Rose from you 3 years ago today! It is celebrated by the whole family because she is such a big part of our lives. We can't imagine a day without her. I am crying as I type this because she is just so special and SO loved. She is beyond a dog or any pet and we are just so grateful for her and for all you do everyday.

Thank you again for our Princess Rose!

Daphne (Audrey)

Hello again!

I wanted to thank you for your note in response to our donation last month - I was thrilled to know the money came in handy right away and helped cover leg surgery for one of your Chihuahuas.

I also wanted to let you know that Daphne (originally Audrey) continues to flourish here. We could not have asked for a sweeter dog. We go on long walks and she sniffs everything. She loves meeting people and dogs and gets along well with our 3 cats. She is a great cuddler but loves running at top speed and playing tug-o-war, too. I've attached a few photos.

Best wishes to you & Ruffus Rescue this year. I hope we are able to give more or even adopt another furry family member soon.

Best,
Susan

Abby (Liza)

Hi Harriett,

Just wanted to share this with you!  Abby (Liza) just turned 9 in October and she is doing great.  Suzy will be 5 in July and I've never seen two dogs love each other so much.  They have a wonderful life... and I think about you often for making it possible by introducing me to Abby.  I hope you have a great New Year!

Mike

Sophia

Hello Harriett,  just wanted to check in with you to let you know I am so spoiled and my dads are the best ever. I am so glad you saved me, so they could find me.  I am very happy and loved.  I have my own fur blanket that I snuggle with.  Thanks again for all that you do, for dogs that need a good home.

Sophia!!

Augie (Camilla)

Harriett,

I think you do great work and want to support you.  I'm one of Augie's (formerly known as Camilla) moms.  We are so happy to have her in our lives.  She's a great dog.  I am so glad that you and your group were there to rescue her. Keep doing what you do.  Warm regards,

Jo
