Well, we have had the little girl for about 6 months and she is a joy. She loved the woods, the lake and just the country life. She
is not much on the ocean, however. I do call her Phester and she
responds to it and since she does feels she has to go wherever I go -- it works. Oh, this is David and Uschi in Monticello, Ga. But just to let you know she is a joy and is, or appears to be, loving it. Thank you for the little girl.
Here are some pictures of Harry and Teddy playing on the back
deck. They have this wrestling game they play and afterwards they chase
each other all around the back yard. Teddy is wonderful and fitting in
perfectly. I'll keep you posted and I plan to take more pictures soon,
so I will send you some. He is a wonderful addition to our family and
we love him very much.
I just wanted to share your God-daughter's pic with you! Abby is
now 7 1/2 years old and is as fabulous as ever! We moved to Memphis
(where my family is) 6 years ago and live in Midtown in a great high
rise condo and are really enjoying life these days. Abby has a little
sister now...Suzy...and she will be 3 years old on July 4th. She was
left at Grace Animal Hospital when she was a puppy and had Parvo and Dr.
Williams, the owner, wouldn't give up on her and she is now perfectly
healthy and happy. She and Abby are soul mates and both bring enormous
joy to my life...and I thank YOU for that! Abby was my first 'rescue'
dog and is by far the best thing that's ever happened to me. Before we
brought Suzy home, we used to travel to the beach in Pensacola and to
New Orleans and all over and she is the perfect traveling companion. We
haven't ventured out on the road with Suzy yet...and may not
ever...since she is
totally different than Abby. She's also a 'mixed Terrier' according to
Streetdog Foundation (where I adopted her) and she is very active. She
also weighs 42# and still is standoffish around other people. They
both go to Dogs Rule Daycare and School 3 or 4 days a week to socialize
and we go to Overton Bark (our newest dog park) almost every day.
I'll send you a pic of Suzy, too.
Take care and again, THANK YOU for introducing me to Abby (you
called her Liza) and for the wonderful contribution you are making with
your mission.
I
came across the Ruffus Rescue blog the other day, and I just wanted to
let you know how happy we are with the puppy you entrusted to us seven
months ago.
Aaron and I tell each other AT LEAST ten times a day that we have
the cutest puppy in the world. We tell each other multiple times a day
that we have the BEST puppy in the world. Our Canyon is so well
behaved. She adores all food, all people, all toys, and sleeping. She
loves other dogs and car rides. She loves playing at the beach. She
loves the big comfy bed we made for her ourselves that matches her
coat. She thinks every day is the best day of her life -- and everyone
loves her.
She's the sweetest, prettiest pup around. In ridiculous voices, we often call her our big "cuddle bucket." Thank
you for doing all that you do. Had you not been outside the Pet
Supermarket that September Sunday with all of your rescued furry
friends, we would be missing out on one of our greatest shared joys.
I am writing about Jesse, our dog that
we adopted from you in October. She is absolutely the love of our
lives. She is sweet and loving and brings us the greatest joy. She gets
all the love in the world and she deserves it!
Jesse
spends most of her days curled up on a blanket on a couch, waiting for
me to come home so I can take her to for a walk or to the dog park. She
absolutely LOVES the dog park, where she plays with the other dogs and
walks happily through the trails. She is a snuggler and curls up with
me in bed while I read. She travels in the car with us wherever we go,
and sometimes even gets to go to work with me! She gets
along great with her new sister, a 16lb. cat named Idgie. They lay
together and sometimes Idgie gives Jesse a bath. Jesse is a hit with
our family, friends, and 8 year old niece.
Thank you so much for giving
us the gift of Jesse. Thank you for what you do. Attached are some pictures of Jesse in her new home!
Hi,
Harriett. Here are my girls. I should have named them Peat and Repeat
because what one does, the other does. They are really funny together
and I enjoy them immensely.
